
The Worldwide Hospitality Masters Class took place on the morning of Monday, November 12th. About 60 people gathered at Fouquet’s Barrière Paris to join panelists in talking about important trends today in the hotel industry.
The event was headed by Angela Brav - Chief Executive Europe at IHG as President of the advisory Board, and Simon Vincent – President Europe at Hilton Worldwide as President of the Ceremony, and mediated by Bruno Courtin – Editor in Chief at Hospitality-On.Present where Jean Faivre - Regional Vice President at Hilton Worldwide, Richard Biggs - Vice President of Distribution at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Angela Brav - Chief Executive Europe at IHG, and Peter Verhoeven - Brand Manager Ibis Europe at Accor.The morning began with Mr. Faivre and Mr. Biggs on a panel to discuss new distribution challenges in the hotel industry, especially with growing internet use, and the rise in popularity of social media and mobile device use for information diffusion and bookings.The second masters session featured Ms. Brav and Mr. Verhoeven on marketing to a new generation of hotel clientele, especially in reading new clientele behavior and how to meet their needs.
