Elisabeth Perwanger was born in South Tyrol, Italy and is married with two children. Her careerstarted in 1985 includingstints at luxury properties such as The Ritz in Paris, VierJahreszeiten Hamburg and BrennersParkhotel in Baden Baden. She has also worked for international hotel chains such as Forte Hotels, Le Meridien and Hilton.

In 2005, the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof came calling for Elisabeth, requiringher skills to set up a modern business development structure and to implement professional revenue management. Shortly after starting the role she was offered the position of Deputy General Manager.

In 2009, Elisabeth’s success led to Deutsche Hospitalityasking her to take the reins of the newly opened Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof, Vienna. This upper upscale hotel is located in the heart of Austria’s capital and features 196 rooms, café and bar, the “Herrlich” restaurant featuring Austrian cuisine and a World Comfort Spa.

Since taking the helm Elisabeth has successfully improved thehotel’s market performance year-on-yearthrough effective cost management, modern team structures and an unwavering focus on revenue generation.The hotel constantly performs at high levels with GOPs close to 40%.

This success has beendriven byElisabeth’s personal engagement in outstanding local initiatives with selected partnerships,such as hosting after work events with a well-loved local Radio station, implementing new F&B promotions such as Olive Oil menus, Tea Time with highly trained tea-masters and music events in the hotel bar.

Elisabeth’s extensive skills are not only limited to activity within her hotel, she also contributes to several Group projects such as setting new company standards, ISO 14001 certification, mentor-mentee programs for young potentials and task forces for newly opened hotels.

Corporate responsibility and personal engagement in environmental initiatives are as important to her as high quality and customer satisfaction. As a result, the prestigious ÖsterreichischesUmweltzeichen” (Austrian eco-label) has been awarded to her hotel by the Austrian Government.

She is enthusiastic about developing the leaders of the future and enlarging the Deutsche Hospitality portfolio in Austria.

Elisabeth has been Area General Manager and Managing Director for Austriasince 2012. Thisincludes hotels in Krems, Linz and Vienna, and a focus on improving synergies, joint purchasing and marketing initiatives as well as establishing a clear image as a preferred employer. In 2015,Treugast Investment Ranking rated Deutsche HospitalityAustriathe most constant Austrian hotel group in regards to financial performance.
