For the last 9 years, InterContinental Paris Le Grand’s Parisian institution Le Café de la Paix proudly organize charity events to raise money for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.
Since 2011, InterContinental Paris Le Grand’s Parisian institution Le Café de la Paix organizes twice a year an event to raise money and awareness for the charity Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.
In June, people can enjoy a breakfast on the restaurant’s terrace, facing the Opera Garnier, at the unique price of 5 euros. In December at lunchtime, the Chef Laurent André creates soups to be enjoyed on site or to take away. These rendez-vous generate more than 15 000€ and allow saving two children per year.
The charity Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque was created 23 years ago by Professor Francine Leca and Mr. Patrice Roynette. They decided to help children who did not have the financial resources or material resources to get cured from their heart defects. The association brings these children in France, for a couple of months, operates them and sent back to their country completely healed.
InterContinental Paris Le Grand hotel staff shows its commitment and is very proud to be part of this initiative. All the employees are volunteers and participate in the organization of the event, the logistic but also the service during the event.
The programme also involves working with some external partners, which are actively involved in the success of the project by providing their products free of charge. An extensive publicity campaign is organised to raise awareness of the event (press, social media, street marketing).
