The 93-room Radisson Blu Hotel opened in March 8, 2021, in Rouen city centre, near the "Joan of Arc" tower. It is the first Radisson Blu Hotel in Normandy.
The property is located rue du Donjon, in Rouen. Its façade is very distinctive and reproduces the art deco style of the old mansion that was there before. The hotel project had been planned for several years. The site was acquired by a Rouen owner in 2007 to invest in the construction of a hotel. The previous building was collapsing and had to be destroyed but the construction of the new building had to respect the physiognomy of the previous one.
The property features 93 rooms and suites with balconies, the Jehanne Restaurant, with a bistronomy-style French cuisine for lunch and dinner, and the Jehanne Lounge Bar. The restaurant welcomes both locals and in-house guests. It offers a signature breakfast buffet, "Les Brunchs du Jehanne" on Sunday. The restaurant’s wine cellar benefits from a selection of over 560 bottles of wine.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Rouen Centre includes a wellness centre with sauna, hammam sensory shower, fitness room, and treatment rooms for guests. The hotel also targets a business clientele and features six meeting rooms with state-of-the-art technology and natural daylight to accommodate a range of meetings and events. The Atrium spans approximately 150 square meters and can accommodate up to 90 guests wishing a 3-course meal, or 150 people for a cocktail-style menu.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Area Senior Vice President Northern & Western Europe for Radisson Hotel Group, commented:
“We are excited to open our first Radisson Blu property in Normandy and expand our footprint in France. With this opening, we are further strengthening our position as the leading international hotel group in the region, with 20 hotels open and under development in France”
