Park Inn - Assistant Financial Controller - United Kingdom

Your mission :

  • Accounts Payable – checking suggested payments, coding/approval of invoices
  • Monthly Payroll and monitoring of weekly payroll costs, forecasting and reviewing actual costs
  • Accounts Receivable, payment processing, invoice chasing,
  • Cashiering/Float Control
  • Income Audit
  • Administration, dealing with day to day queries, internal and external
  • Preparation of month end journals
  • Issue of month end reports to Heads of Department
  • Assist in preparation of yearly budget and update of monthly forecasts
  • Analysis of daily/monthly figures
  • Internal Control, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring legal and statutory compliance
  • Support function for General Manager and Heads of Department in all areas relating to finance and hotel operation

Your profil :


  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills
  • Positive approach, excellent organisational skills, flexible and motivated
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely basis
  • Ability to demonstrate and understand the Controls in a Hotel/hospitality environment.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with good excel skills including an understanding of SAP
  • Working with the established outsourced partners ie BDO , ADP, EPS
  • UK citizen or legal to work in the UK (e.g. EU Citizen) or valid work permit to work in the UK
  • High standard of written and verbal English
  • Experience in finance and accounting but not necessarily qualified
  • Working with Forecasting Tools currently in place
  • Understanding of Balance sheet and P&L reporting
  • Ability to Analyse and make recommendations to General Management and Heads of Department


  • 3-5 years direct experience in a Hotel Accounting Department at a property incorporating a variety of markets and hotel/business sizes
  • 2+ years in the hotel industry (may have been concurrent with the above)
  • Finance background
  • Formal Accounting qualification ( AAT)
