Two Hyatt Hotels Corp. properties are expected to open this year in Abu Dhabi. The 189-key Hyatt at Capital Gate and the 314-key Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas will both debut in the fourth quarter, the company says.
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi is located on the northern part of Saadiyat Island, surrounded by the 18-hole championship Saadiyat Beach golf course and featuring a 5.5-mile stretch of natural beach. Occupying 18.5 acres, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi will have 270 guestrooms and 44 villas, along with a selection of world-class restaurants and extensive meeting facilities. It will be the first Park Hyatt-branded resort in the Middle East and the third Park Hyatt hotel in the region.Hyatt at Capital Gate will occupy floors 18 to 32 of the Capital Gate building, which links to Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Due to the unique contour of the 35-story tower—it is designed to lean 18 degrees, more than four times that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa—each guestroom will have a different shape and orientation, and the hotel's “sky lobby” will be suspended 80 m above the ground on the 18th floor, offering panoramic views of the city.
