Senior vice president of performance analytics

William Carlson is senior vice president of performance analytics for Choice Hotels International, Inc. In this role, Mr. Carlson provides the company with business intelligence services to drive strategic and operating decisions in support of the company’s goals.

During his tenure at Choice, Mr. Carlson has successfully helped the company leverage its data through advanced analytics to improve company performance.

Mr. Carlson joined Choice Hotels in 1998 as Vice President of Consumer and Market Research. In this position, he developed the company’s consumer insights and industry analysis capabilities. In 2006, Mr. Carlson was promoted to Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing where he was played major roles in establishing the company’s customer database, enhancing its loyalty program, and deploying the company’s hotel-level guest satisfaction system.

Prior to his roles at Choice, Mr. Carlson served in various planning, analysis, and consumer insight roles for Promus Hotels Corporation and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Mr. Carlson received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
