Jeff Eckard is Vice President, Americas Technology, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
Jeff has responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of hotel and corporate technology solutions, initiatives and infrastructure services throughout the Americas region. Key deliverables include 3,500+ property rollout conversions, regional technology security strategy & implementation, innovative and efficient corporate solutions & advanced support, Company Managed Hotel (CMH) technology strategy, deployment & support, relationship management across IHG brands, Technology partners & hotel owner groups while partnering with IHG regional teams. Jeff is a member of the Americas Regional Operating Committee (ROC) for IHG.
Previously, Jeff served as Vice President, Hotel Systems in Global Technology at IHG. He oversaw project software development, integration, and business relationships for more than 20 applications including Revenue Management, Central Reservations, Hotel Content, Hotel Openings, Owner Relations, Hotel Operations, Contract Management, Corporate Responsibility and Global Document Management. Earlier in his IHG career, he served 7 years as Vice President, Technology focused on global corporate and hotel intra/extranet platforms, Loyalty Technology, Reservations & Revenue Management and Employee & Hotel engagement.
A veteran in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years, Jeff began his career working in a hotel as a front desk and night audit associate. Prior to joining IHG 16 years ago, Jeff was with Marriott International where he held roles of increasing responsibility in technology with extended-stay and limited service brands, Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott.
Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is very active in his community, holding a variety of board positions in Youth Sports and helping launch Community and High School Lacrosse programs locally. He enjoys competing in a variety of sports and has a passion for community youth projects both as a volunteer and with his own children. Jeff resides in Duluth, Georgia with his wife and four children.
