Wynn gets OK for Macau expansion

Wynn Resorts received approval from the Macau government on Tuesday to build its second casino-resort there.

Wynn plans to build a 2,000-room casino-resort on Macau’s Cotai Strip, where it will join The Venetian Macau and other massive casino-resorts. The Las Vegas-based company’s 1,014-room Wynn Macau casino-resort currently in operation is located across the water on the Macau Peninsula."The official transfer of real estate in Cotai makes possible the commencement of the construction phase, of what will be the single most important project in the history of Wynn Resorts,” said Stephen Wynn, Wynn Resorts chairman and CEO.
