Wyndham Hotel Group exceeds 500 hotels in China

The hotel group is announcing the development of eight new establishments over the next two years, now with 543 hotels and 67,559 rooms in the destination.

The Wyndham Hotel Group is pursuing its development in China by reinforcing the presence of its Ramada brand. The hotel group is announcing eight new Ramada establishments.

The first, the Ramada Suzhou Luzhi, has already opened its doors in the city of Suzhou with 133 rooms. It will be followed by the opening of the Ramada Changzhou, Ramada Linyi North, Ramada Plaza Liuzhou Liudong and the Ramada Plaza Xishuangbanna hotel in 2013, then the Ramada Plaza Changsha West, the Ramada Wuyishan and the Ramada Plaza Changsha Riverside in 2014. All of these eight properties will together add 1 500 to the Wyndham group's Chinese portfolio.

"The undersupply of quality rooms in secondary and tertiary Chinese cities allows us to further expand our presence in the destination ", said Robert Loewen Director of Operations for Wyndham Hotel Group.

Currently, Ramada is operating 49 hotels in China, and is the biggest Wyndham's brand after Super 8 brand.
