FAUCHON, luxury French food brand, proposes a glamorous luxury boutique hotel concept with a growing international network of 20 hotels and a first property in Paris.
LAUNCH OF FAUCHON L’HÔTEL, THE GLAM BOUTIQUE LUXURY HOTEL
Fauchon, a 130-year-old family-owned company and innovator in luxury contemporary gastronomy, has restaurants, catering cafes, and retail outlets in 50 countries. Fauchon chose to create its own hotel brand to ensure guests could experience Fauchon’s vision of life: Fauchon L’Hôtel.
These are Luxury Boutique Hotels in international destinations, positioned between ultra-luxury brands and full-service luxury hotels - a highly desirable market segment in demand among sophisticated travelers. For Fauchon clientele -- high-end discerning hedonists -- the brand is a perfect fit.
THE UNIQUE FAUCHON CONCEPT: “GLAM” HOTELS TO ENJOY “LA VIE EN ROSE”
Each Fauchon L’Hôtel is GLAMorous: a cocoon of delights and sensory comfort where guests live the intimate, artsy and offbeat experience of the Fauchon brand. The Fauchon L’Hôtel concept is based on 4 features:
GOURMET: Fauchon L’Hôtel offers the most creative Parisian pastry and contemporary interpretation of French culinary tradition in all its spaces; Fauchon L’Hôtel’s innovative gourmet approach in all moments in the guest experience includes the brand’s ground-breaking in-room “Gourmet Bar” which has completely disrupted the “hotel minibar” concept by providing all guests a selection of complimentary Fauchon products throughout their stay. Designed by
Sasha Lakic, crafted by Roche-Bobois as a limited edition, it is an icon for Fauchon L’Hôtel and is available for all guests in all rooms.
Other key aspects include a range of in-room gourmet services, such as the Chef Service (a Fauchon Chef cooking for you in your room). Le Grand Café Fauchon is also innovative in proposing tasting menus in gastronomic food and selected beverages, with a wine/tea pairing approach, in an innovative/ modern design and bold attitude.

The artsy feeling and glamorous ambiance has been carefully created in blending the contemporary bold brand and the historical classical building with the commission of artwork by French artisans, as representative of French Know-how:
- Pierre Bonnefille – design of the walls in the Lobby
- Eric de Dormaël – design of the chandeliers in the Lobby and the Grand Café Fauchon
- Aristide Najean – creation of the “bonbon” wall lights in the Library
Innovative hospitality rituals are proposed to the guest to ensure they will discover and enjoy the most pleasurable aspects of Paris. It includes an amazing iconic Fauchon Moment on a private Riva boat on the Seine.
MESDAMES, a hotel always IN TUNE WITH WOMEN: sophisticated lighting, Dyson hairdryer, bathrobe sizing and Carita products… Dyson has created for Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris a unique case to hold its famous hairdryer. And it stands in the wonderful rose backlit drawer in each room. Technology has also been integrated to be as seamless as possible:
Each room features an exclusive Content Tablet (with Spotify and Netflix access) created by a French Start-up from Station F, Bowo; for which Samsung has specifically developed an innovative technology allowing a perfect seamless interaction between the Fauchon app on the tablet and the TV; introducing a unique Alcatel system enabling guests to phone directly from the tablet to contact any hotel service.
The hotel’s perfume has been created by Expressions Parfumées from the bestselling tea “Marchand de rêves”. The Carita Spa proposes Gourmet Fauchon massages and glamorous pampering.
FIRST RESULTS
On September 1st, 2018 after a three-year project development, Fauchon opened the first Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris, situated on the Place de la Madeleine — the legendary home of the Fauchon brand. As a first achievement for a newcomer, Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris was accepted by The Leading Hotels of the World -- even before its opening.
After three weeks of operation, we can acknowledge a strong interest and recognition by international and specialized media with more than 250 articles (approx. 1,3M€ media equivalent) across the globe in 3 weeks (Forbes: “Fauchon’s Gourmet Bar is an industry game-changer” / Les Echos: “Reinventing Paris”).
The launch is too recent to present consolidated business results. Yet the first figures are very promising: an ADR at 560€HT and above 80% occupancy on the week on September 21st.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
Fauchon L’Hôtel’s development strategy aims at creating an international collection of 20 luxury boutique hotels in 10 years. Top priorities include countries where Fauchon is well known (Europe, Japan, Middle East, Eastern Asia) and cities where the Fauchon Hospitality target customers and affluent travelers are present: Los Angeles, Miami, New York, London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai and Shenzhen. First projects are currently under finalisation: Kyoto, Tokyo, Doha, Budapest …
