EHL – Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne was founded in 1893 as the world’s very first hotel school, located in Switzerland.
After 125 years of pioneering and reinventing the education model that made its reputation and the success of its alumni, EHL is introducing a new opportunity for students to learn and practice their entrepreneurial skills through an internship or through a consultancy mandate in their own start-up hosted on our Innovation hub, located near the Lausanne Campus.
Furthermore for a growing number of students who are attracted by the core hotel or F&B business within the hospitality sector our professional pathway leads to the same accredited Bachelor of Science degree and is delivered on our Alpine campus in Graubunden (Grisons).
In the preparatory year students learn the fundamentals of business ethics: responsibility, attention to detail, discipline, punctuality and professional appearance. On top of acquiring these behaviors, they go through 20 weeks of hands-on workshops and operational practice. This is a perfect opportunity for EHL to introduce the students to new technologies not only in digital marketing classes but starting with operations in hospitality, with a first VR simulation of Housekeeping.
