A hotel with innovative design

After more than a year of innovative design and construction, Comfort Hotel Sixteen opened its doors in November 2015, in the Ile-de-France region.

The hotel takes its visitors on a journey in each of its 34 rooms with 8 different atmospheres. It’s located in Montrouge, Hauts-de Seine department (92), just a few miles from Paris.

This new Comfort location, a part of the Choice Hotels Europe network, was completely revamped between July 2014 and November 2015 with the purposes of showcasing artistic creation.

To Parisian Comfort Hotel Sixteen takes on the trend of featuring photographic murals. The “Wall Arts” of Benedicte Van der Maar, are part of the design.

The appeal of Comfort Hotel Sixteen lays in its innovative concept created by its amazing art director, Benedicte Van der Maar. It’s an artsy space based on photography, every room has its own truly original and customized atmosphere.

The renovated three-star hotel introduces visitors to the artist’s universe, a universe where the guests can take a journey through a world of dreams. Van der Maar’s photographic murals, “Wall Arts” are present in every room of the hotel, from the lobby to the bedrooms, passing by the bar. Every one of them tells a story, from Paris to New York, going through Colombia, Nepal and Hollywood.

16 months of renovation works

It took 16 months to renovate the works. The design of the rooms belongs to Benedicte Van der Maar. The interior layout of the lobby, the reception and the bar area was envisioned by the interior designer Donatelle Pina.

Upon crossing the entrance of the Comfort Hotel Sixteen, guest will be faced with a beautiful Wall Art called “Bright”. Following this, the restaurant will feature Van der Maar’s work “Chinatown”. After taking the lift and taking a stroll in the dark gray corridors, guests will be in one of the specially designed Wall Art rooms, « Cherubs », « Dandelions », «Asia », « Sky », « Taganga », « Urban », « Queen Malika », « Marilyn »...

It is a tremendously original hotel that is sure to attract attention and imagination of those who cross its doors.

Rooms and services

Comfort Hotel Sixteen offers its clients to stay in one of 34 completely renovated rooms. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi connection, a safe and double glazed windows for maximum comfort. In the morning, a lavish breakfast is served in a room filled with light shining from the venues large windows on the ground floor.

The 34 rooms are distributed come in the following categories:  

Standard room, double or twin: 14m2 room with a double bed our two twin beds. Takes up to 2 guests. The Wall Art options are Malika, Asia, Taganga, Sky, Cherubs and Marilyn.

Superior room, double, twin or junior suite. Spacious room from 20m2 including a queen size bed or two twin beds. Takes up to 2 guests. The Wall Art options are Urban, Cherubs, Sky and Dandelions.

  • It is a facility available for those with disabilities. 
  • Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday from 7 to 9 a.m. On weekends it is served from 8 to 10 a.m. 
  • Front desk hours are 24 hours from Monday to Thursday, from 7 a.m. to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. 
  • WiFi connection is available in all facilities. 
  • There is a business area with computers and printers. 
  • All rooms have air conditioning, double glazed windows and a safe.
  • There is underground private parking 
  • Multilingual staff.
  • There are facilities for those with reduced mobility.  

Location

The three-star ranked Comfort Hotel Sixteen welcome its visitors downtown Montrouge, in a calm and green neighborhood near Paris and Porte d’Orléans. The hotel is located 700 meters from the south border of Paris. Its location allows guest to access all landmarks intra-muros. This includes Montparnasse, the business area of Porte d’Orleans and the Parc des Expositions (20 minutes by tramway).

Interesting places to visit the Flee Market in Porte de Vanves, Montsouris park, Montparnasse area in Paris, the Natural History Museum, Parc des Expositions et Luxembourg Gardens.
