Les Arcs Panorama, Club Med's new mountain flagship resort in the French Alps

Club Med strategy in the Alps

With the opening of the new Club Med Les Arcs Panorama on next 16 December, Club Med confirms its ambition to open one new resort per year in the Alps.

With almost 20 resorts located in the most beautiful ski resorts in the Alps (France, Italy and Switzerland), the opening of this new resort strengthens Club Med‘s position as the world leader in all-inclusive premium holidays in the mountains, in winter and summer.

The mountain is one of the pillar of Club Med’s development strategy. Indeed, Club Med already has three opening projects in the Alps by 2022 for a total investment of around 300M€.

Les Arcs Panorama, Club Med's new mountain flagship resort in the French Alps

On December 16, Club Med will open its new mountain resort in France's Savoie region: Les Arcs Panorama. After the opening of Val Thorens Sensations in 2014 and Grand Massif Samoens-Morillon in 2017, Club Med is once again strengthening its unique position as the world leader in all-inclusive, premium ski holidays in the Alps. Club Med Les Arcs Panorama is part of this new generation of resorts that meets the needs of French and international clients.

Club Med Les Arcs Panorama is located in the family ski station of Arc 1600 (France's Savoie region) in the Paradiski ski domain, which is the second-largest in France.

It will be open in winter and summer alike to take advantage of all that the mountain has to offer. A multitude of activities, included in All-Inclusive package and “on demand”, promise an unforgettable mountaintop trip to experience with family, as a couple, or with friends.

This premium (4 Tridents) resort was conceived to perfectly blend into the landscape of pine and spruce forests. It also offers an Exclusive Collection (5 Tridents) space called Le Belvédère for a more intimate and personalized stay.

The resort has 433 contemporary rooms divided into 3 categories of rooms: Club, Deluxe and Suites.

Design and architecture

Emerging from the fir forest, overlooking the family ski station of Arcs 1600, Club Med Les Arcs Panorama, Premium Resort (4 Trident) with an Exclusive Collection (5 Trident) space, is a true modern jewel. With its breathtaking view of the Tarentaise valley and the snow-covered peaks, the Resort bears its name to perfection.

In keeping with the long avant-garde tradition of Les Arcs, where modernity and nature coexist, the architecture of the Resort, all in curves, follows the contours of the mountain and blends into the forest of pines, spruces and larches.

The architecture firm Cap Archi designed and developed the resort’s architecture by taking its cues from Le Corbusier’s student Charlotte Perriand, who created the station’s main buildings, now listed as 20th Century Heritage Landmarks (Patrimoine du XXème Siècle). The architect Christian Plateau was inspired to create a resolutely contemporary and avant-garde design for the site. He was also very mindful of preserving nature and the region’s striking landscapes by integrating the resort into the surrounding natural spaces.

The interior decoration, designed by Design Studio, reinterprets traditional alpine motifs to create a modern and warm atmosphere. Didier Rey’s design immerses guests in the mountain’s hidden treasures and the surrounding forests from both inside and outside.

Natural and rich materials like wood, Savoy stone, copper, and cosy textiles were chosen for the inherently modern quality they bring to interior treatments and finishes. Warm and cool colour schemes recall forests, rushing waterfalls and flowering Alpine meadows in spring.

Le Belvédère, the resort’s Exclusive Collection (5 Tridents) space, is perched at the very top of the resort and offers 24 suites for families, a dedicated concierge service, and spectacular views on the valley.
