Flying Nest is not a product. It’s a full hospitality experience, a new way of spending your time living through the heart of your event.

Flying Nest is the new premium mobile hospitality concept launched by AccorHotels.

Flying Nest promises to offer you a unique, incredible and unforgettable experience. However, this experience is not just sleeping. The Flying Nest project can include many others services. Since the beginning of the year, we have built strong partnerships with F&B, music and video production, DJ Sets, well-being, etc.. We are convinced that an experience is above all, emotions and a way of living.

Designed by Ora Ito, the project has been developed through co-conception methods between Accorhotels teams, the Designer and a French start-up called Capsa, which specialized in transforming containers. Co-intelligence method was the best way to build the first prototype only 6 months after the idea.

We have created the “mobile hotel” presented as an island of 5 rooms with different orientation and terraces as meeting point to make sure we provoke confrontations. The room design is willfully simple yet cosy, with the idea of sleeping in a wooden niche like in a mountain cabin with a floor length window at the foot of the bed.

Everything has been designed to immerse the client into the specific location…in the heart of their passions.

From 5 to 50 bedrooms based on a 5 island configurations (3 rooms on the ground floor, and 2 rooms on the first floor), you will enjoy 3 spaces in your box : a double bed sleeping area, air-conditioned living area and bathroom/WC. Additional amenities are also provided such as a mini bar, Nespresso machine, bathrobes and eco-sustainable products.

We specifically concentrated on using ecological materials, technical equipment and furnishings. 80% of the products are originated from Europe (Made in Europe), the wood finishing comes from eco-managed forests, and the paint is also an eco-label. To provide a unique experience everywhere throughout the world, the boxes are equipped with an independent water supply (recovered water system) and electricity. Furthermore, all the AccorHotels experience is included in our offer : check in/out, breakfast room service, cleaning services, linens and towels.

Our clients range from business oriented, focusing on their brand image to high potential clients, influencers and event organizers targeting new partners and VIP Clients. Having put on 4 big events at the end of September, the official launch in January is more anticipated then before.

Furthermore, the 2 events held in Le Mans, France this summer (24h du Mans and Le Mans Classic), gave our clients the chance and possibility to live an incredible moment. The “village” of 25 rooms were installed just 6 meters behind the race track in only 18 hours. They were able to be in their bedroom and watch the race through their windows. A cocktail party for our VIP clients was held on the terrace, to enjoy the ride and drinks with a view from the best spot of the race. We also decided to create a partnership with Solex in order to provide our clients with electric bikes to ride in the paddocks and the village of the 24h du Mans.

At the beginning of July, Flying Nest moved to Les Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles , in the South of France for a press week. The 15 boxes were implanted in the heart of “Les Ateliers Actes Sud”, in the middle of different exhibitions. For the occasion, 25 tons of sand were brought on-site to create an artificial beach for our clients. A bar, DJ sets every evening, and food trucks were the cherry on top of the cake to complete the experience.

Additionally, 10 boxes went to the South of France for a private event in September. For the first time, we decided to try another configuration of the project. All the rooms were positioned on the ground floor, in order to enjoy the beautiful view and the nature in the surrounding location.

For the moment, Flying Nest is only designated to the B2B market. However, there are plenty of projects and ideas ahead of us. We are convinced that the business model in not only made for the B2B Market but can also be a potential product for the B2C market. It's just the beginning of the Mobile Hospitality Revolution.
