Campaign - AccorHotels - Women Empowerment

First event dedicated to women empowerment ever organized by the private sector in Saudi Arabia to promote Saudi Women Leadership, Empowerment and integration in workplace.

Accorhotels saudi arabia established a solid base for corporate social responsibility actions as part of company employer branding efforts. As a hospitality leader in KSA the company has aligned the CSR strategy with government vision, which aim to

- Ease integration of saudi nationals in Hospitality secor, which is not an attractive sector for saudi nationals

- Increase women’s participation in the workforce from 22% to 30%, who represent 50% of universities graduates in Saudi Arabia.

AccorHotels was the first hotel group to develop the Saudi Management Training Program (SMTP) targeting Saudi Women, a special management training program tailor-made to encourage Saudi nationals to enter the hospitality industry.

This aims to position ourselves as leaders on topics related to diversity & inclusion and more importantly to humbly contribute to support women integration within our organization in the region.

In this context Accorhotels initiated for the First time in Saudi Arabia to launch an event to promote Saudi Women Leadership, Empowerment and integration in workplace. The women empowerment & Integration Forum for saudi women objectives were to :

1- Learn from Business leaders, entrepreneur and influential speakers, how they started, challenges facing women leadership, what are the tools to lead?

2- Empowering and inspiring women to develop the strategies and skills to be an effective leader.

3- Learn from Social, Experienced Experts the work life balance tools, psychological effect of stress and managing your life.

About the Event:-

On the 12th of December 2016 WEIF was launched ,as the first event dedicated to women empowerment ever organized by the private sector in Saudi Arabia, aiming to inspire young generation talents to seek their highest level of professional development, by providing them with information, strategies, insights, and perspectives on leadership and overview of the Hospitality sector opportunities and development horizon.

Forum target audience were fresh graduates, job seekers, emerging leaders from the public and private sector, emerging entrepreneur, along with associations, organizations, and government bodies that are working towards supporting them. In addition to many senior level attendees as well, including leaders in business and influential leaders of women’s organizations. The Speakers come from diverse backgrounds and are established leaders in their own right. They will be discussing themes of leadership, empowerment, gender inclusiveness, the stepping stones in professional development of women, and the roles played by external factors in development of women leaders and business professionals.

The forum was open to all and massively endorsed by Local Authorities (i.e. Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage, Ministry of Labor, and Human Resources Development Fund) as well as Royal Family members (i.e. Princess Noura Ben Khaled, who is known by being an advocate of women integration and leadership in Saudi Arabia).

WEIF forum attracted over 300+ attendees, therfore due to the huge traffic and impact on local society being the first company to organize such kind of forum WEIF was covered by 50+ press agency and magazine in addition to 5 TV interviews and recognition from Prince Waleed Ben Talal, where Accorhotels executives met his highness.

WEIF is linked to AccorHotels’ commitment towards diversity and providing equal opportunity across the organization. Through the Women at AccorHotels Generation program. The Group is dedicated towards increasing the percentage of women across the organization.hence in Accorhotels Saudi Arabia we are focusing on women integration in workplace as women managers increased by 500% in 2016 compare to 2015 from 1 Manager to 6 Managers in addition to appointing the First General Manager Saudi Women in Suite Novotel Riyadh.
