Vivek Badrinath, joint CEO of the Accor group

Vivek Badrinath joins the Accor Group as joint CEO alongside Sébastien Bazin, the group's President & CEO. He will be in charge of marketing, digital activities, distribution, and information systems, and will be a member of the group's Executive Committee as of March 1st, 2014. After having started his career at the Ministry of Industry, Vivek Badrinath worked for Orange, and then for Thomson India. In 2004, he was named technical director of mobile activity for Orange before joining the group's Executive Committee in 2009, as the director of the Networks and Operators Division. He then became the executive director in charge of Orange Business Services between April 2010 and April 2012, later named joint CEO in charge of Innovation, Marketing & Technology on May 1st, 2013. "I am very happy that Vivek has agreed to join Accor. He will take charge of areas that are essential to the group's success and brand development. I am confident that his extensive knowledge of digital issues and the international dimension of his career will give a new impetus to the Accor team and will be a source of innovation and creativity. His 20 years of experience in an industry which has gone through several technological revolutions will enable us to face the major issues in the hotel industry and go a step further", said Sébastien Bazin, Accor President & CEO.
