Two new Radisson Blu hotels, including one resort, to debut in Saudi Arabia

Carlson Rezidor's Radisson Blu strengthens its Saudi portfolio as it keeps expanding its presence across the Middle-East, with two new properties slated to open in Q4 2016.

Radisson Blu will operate more than ten properties in Saudi Arabia by the end of the year, with the upcoming openings of the Radisson Blu Resort Half Moon Bay, Al Khobar, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Buraidah. A new built property in the capital of the Al Qassim Province, the latter offers 108 rooms and 12 villas, as well as several meeting rooms. Located 50 kilometres south of Al Khobar city and designed to appeal to leisure guests, the Radisson Blu Resort Half Moon Bay, Al Khobar will feature 158 rooms, suites and villas. A conversion of an existing property, it will also offer two restaurants, two cafes, a swimming pool and wellness equipments.

Carlson Rezidor's portfolio comprises 498 units in operation and/or under development in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa, including 309 Radisson Blu hotels. Close to 20 units are currently under development across the Kingdom. Chinese group HNA recently acquired the operator: the newly-formed group ranked as the 11th hotel operator worldwide in terms of rooms as of January 2016. According to data published by Hospitality ON, HNA Group and Carlson Rezidor operate 1,145 hotels totalling 182,521 rooms.
