March 2023: a rather clear sky for the French hotel industry

Punctuated by strikes and marked by the end of the winter holidays, the month of March could have suffered from an economic situation that was not to its advantage. However, the French hotel industry has once again done relatively well: a review of the first few weeks of spring.

In March, France posted a 15.3% increase in RevPAR thanks to an ADR 20.8% higher than in 2019. On the other hand, the gap in terms of occupancy is widening slightly and now registers -2.9 points in terms of occupancy rate (the country posted -1.8 point in February vs February 2019).
