Although Malta is by far the smallest country in the 25 - countries European Union (only 316 sq. km), the island’s hotel supply (130 hotels for 15,000 rooms) is far from being the smallestin Europe: for example, it is 3 times larger than that of Luxembourg.

In any case its recent entry into the European Union feeds the hopes of the island’s hoteliers. And they’re not entirely wrong! For several months, the island’s properties have posted constant growth in the RevPAR. In May the country’s entry into the Union was accompanied by a progression 9.6%...
