The hotel group announced the execution of new measures to support local communities in the sites and countries where their hotels are located and carry out its sustainable development actions on the operational front.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts reinforced its Green Partner Program around four fundamental principles:

  • The Responsible Company principle, with the introduction of a data management system that allows real-time measurement, contributions and initiatives of each hotel to sustainable development at the operational level.
  • The Respect for Ecosystems principle, concerning the design, construction and rennovation of the hotels.
  • The Respect for Environment principle, with a concentration on energy conservation, water consumption and an increased watch to eliminate waste both in general and in detail.
  • The Engagement principle, with the execution of the « Cares » program to financially support certain socio-economic projects and initiatives.

"The Green program is at the center of the group’s strategies of the same title as well as the economic priorities. It is about highlighting our responsibility and our integrity in how we manage the policies of our company to improve the wellbeing of local communities lwhere our hotels are, preserving the ecosystem, measuring the environmental impact of our operations and encouraging our suppliers and subcontractors to engage in the same direction of sustainable development", stated Jennifer Fox, President of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
