Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize

The strategy of this prize is to above all, spread the name of the "Dorchester Collection" around the world. This is the 3rd year of the Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize and after London and New York it will be the Plaza Athéné’s turn to host.

Summary_ The 2012 Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize will award €30,000 to a gifted designer of ready-to-wear or premium accessories to help establish their brand. A panel of expert judges to will seek to award one designer out of five finalists who best demonstrates original aesthetic flair, a capability for future critical distinction and commercial success. The winner’s work must also evoke the spirit of Dorchester Collection’s iconic hotels and, therefore, project a sense of individuality, luxury, style and craftsmanship. A cat walk show will be organized for the 16th of October to give the five finalist a chance to show their designs in front of the judges._ The Prize continues to build momentum and highlights design talent around the world helping to shape the careers of the 2012 winner_ Please tell us why do you think you should win?_ It is a concept that has never been done before and it gives hope to young upcoming designers and a chance to showcase their talent in the some of the biggest fashion capitals of the world.
