Arne Sorenson to become New CEO of Marriott

J.W. “Bill” Marriott Jr. will be stepping down as CEO of Marriott International Inc., Bethesda, Maryland. Arne Sorenson, currently the company’s president and COO., will replace him.

While Marriott will soon be turning 80 years old, he is nonetheless not retiring. Rather, he will continue working for the company as executive chairman and chairman of the board and he is planning on keeping a regular work schedule.
