Travelodge invests in Manchester

After acquiring a 157-room hotel for nearly 13 million euros, the British hotel group opens the Manchester Piccadilly Travelodge.

Travelodge grows its presence in the United Kingdom and announces the opening of a new property in the city of Manchester. With 157 rooms, the Manchester Piccadilly Travelodge is the result of a conversion of a hotel previously acquired by the hotel group for 11 million pounds sterling, or close to 13 million euros.

With the opening of the Manchester Piccadilly Travelodge, the British hotel group now has a network of 16 hotels in Greater Manchester, and a total of 513 properties. The hotel is one of 15 openings scheduled for 2014 within the group's expansion program, representing an investment of 100 million pounds, or close to 119 million euros.
