St James's Hotel Group buys 14 properties owned by the collapsing Forestdale

St James's Hotel Group has completed the acquisition of 14 unbranded three-star hotels across England from administrators of Forestdale, heretofore one of the largest regional hotel operators in the UK with a portfolio of 26. The properties are located in towns such as Bath, Cambridge, Bristol, Winchester and the Cotswolds. Shaun Robinson, managing director of St James's Hotels, said: "We are very excited to have acquired this portfolio and while it will require significant investment in both time and money, we believe we are well placed to maximise the potential of these well-located properties." They are part of St James's Hotels' larger growth strategy through acquisitions.
