The "CAB20", located in the dynamic district of Sankt Georg, will be an innovative hotel concept. It will open its doors in June 2021.
Behind this project is the Fährhaus investment group.
The future 176-room cabin hotel, located in the heart of Hamburg, will feature modern sleeping cabins, a "digital first" lobby, a roof terrace and an urban lifestyle.
The design of the new property will be inspired by the minimalist architecture of Japanese hotels but adapted to the needs of European guests. In other words: functional design within a friendly environment to provide both an individual and community experience. The target clientele is Generation Y, who loves travel and values the experience.
Lasse Lütjens, Managing Director of the CAB 20 says:
The CAB 20 is a brand of hospitality that wants to inspire. Customers, locals and employees. For us, it's about offering more with less. Less frills and less time. Instead, more comfort and style
Mathias Krahl from Fährhaus Investment Group adds:
Ultimately, the concept takes up the cross-sectoral trend towards a sustainable reduction to the essential, which is now observed in life as microliving, but which has already been used in many industries
In order to push the digitalization experience further, the CAB20 will develop a digital payment method that will allow customers to pay without having to go to the reception desk.
The pilot project site is a few minutes walk from Hamburg's main railway station. The building was acquired by the Fährhaus Group several years ago and had been made available for the cultural project "B20" until 2014.
Mathias Krahl, says:
We want to integrate this spirit of local social and cultural integration into the future and, in agreement with the district, bring young people to places where Hamburg is still authentic
