
Dalata Hotel Group announced the acquisition of the Clarion Hotel in Cork for 35.1 million euros. Choice Hotels will continue to manage the property under the Clarion brand.
Located in the second largest city in Ireland, the upscale property has 191 rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a spa and equipment dedicated to organizing conferences and reunions.
Founded in 2007 by Pat McCann, Dalata Hotel Group is now the biggest hotel operator on the Irish market. It manages a portfolio of 41 properties, of which it owns 17, leases 11 and 13 are under management contracts, for more than 7,000 rooms in the country.
