Tribute Portfolio, the new brand of the Marriott International group, announces the opening of its first hotel in Spain on April 1, 2021, according to the chain's schedule.
The new Tribute Portfolio hotel, located in Santa Eulalia in Ibiza, will have 58 rooms and will join the W Ibiza, which opened in July 2020, in the same city.
The Riomar Hotel, Ibiza, a Tribute Hotel, will offer two restaurants - one with French cuisine and the other with Mediterranean cuisine, a lounge bar, a swimming pool, a terrace and a tropical garden.
Marriott International expresses its desire to develop its portfolio in 2021 under some of the 30 group brands, announcing the opening of 15 hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The first openings will take place during this first quarter, including the St. Regis Cairo luxury hotel in the center of the Egyptian capital and a Moxy Cairo property in the financial district on the outskirts of the city. Two hotels in Europe are also planned with the Matild Palace in Lisbon and Luxury Collection in Budapest.
In addition to the Riomar in Ibiza, the Group plans to open a long-stay property, the Residence Inn Al Jaddaf in Dubai, which will be the first hotel of the brand in the United Arab Emirates, and a W hotel in Rome, in the second quarter of the current year.
It is also launching the W brand in Portugal, in the Algarve, and the Marmorosch opening in Bucharest (Romania), on a former bank in the city, under the Autograph Collection Hotel banner.
In the third quarter, The Westin brand will make its debut in the United Kingdom with the Westin London City Hotel, the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah in Dubai; a St Regis also in Dubai; the Ritz-Carlton in Amman (Jordan), and the JW Marriott Burj Rafal in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), which has become the highest residential building in the city, with 70 floors.
In the fourth quarter, Marriott forecasts include the creation of a Moxy in Manchester (United Kingdom) and another JW Marriott in Cairo, the emblematic Mena House.
