Shiva Hotels just paid 96 million pounds sterling, close to 120 million euros, to Cola Holdings Ltd in a transaction to acquire Kingsway Hall Hotel in Covent Garden.

London's Kingsway Hall Hotel is changing hands. Shiva Hotels bought the Covent Garden property from Cola Holding Ltd. for 96 million pounds sterling, or close to 120 million euros. The group also committed 15 million pounds sterling (close to 19 million euros) to refurbish the hotel and add 20 deluxe rooms.

Located in Covent Garden, the Kingsway Hall Hotel is a 170-room property positioned on the four-star segment. It had been in the Cola family portfolio since 1991.

Shiva Hotels is an important operator on the London market with a network of more than 2000 rooms operational or under development in the British capital. It operates properties under the brands Hilton, Hampton Inn by Hilton, Holiday Inn and Ramada, including the 350-room London Hilton Terminal 5.
