Greece: tourism as the engine of the economic recovery

While it has not yet regained the route to recovery within the ongoing economic crisis since 2008, Greece sees a glimmer of hope in the encouraging figures of its tourism industry. Sector indicators show an uptrend in 2013, and the Greek government has undertaken the necessary efforts to maintain its dynamism. The hotel industry is beginning to benefit from this context while growth is progressively picking up speed as international investors return.
