He will succeed John Ozinga as Chief Executive Officer from 1 July 2020, concluding a process initiated jointly by the Board and John Ozinga a few months ago.

Since 2014, Gilles Clavie has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Orbis. After joining the Accor Group in 2001, he joined Orbis S.A. as a member of the Executive Committee. He was awarded one of the "20 most efficient CEOs of the Warsaw Stock Exchange" (mWIG40 index) by the Harvard Business Review Polska & TMS Brokers.

In particular, he contributed to the development of Orbis in Eastern Europe, which now has 73 owned hotels, and supported Accor in its asset-light strategy with Orbis in 2019.
