DiamondRock Hospitality Company announced the takeover of The Inn at Key West in Florida for close to 36.6 million euros.
After buying the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central (read article), DiamondRock Hospitality Company announces the acquisition of a new property in the United States, The Inn at Key West in Florida. The transaction involved 47.5 million dollars, or close to 36.6 million euros (448,000 dollars, almost 345,700 euros, per room). The Inn at Key West is a 106-room boutique hotel that underwent major renovations in 2009. It will continue to be managed by an independent firm.
With this new acquisition, DiamondRock Hospitality Company is growing on the resort segment and now represents 16% of its total portfolio. The company's portfolio includes more than 27 properties for more than 11,000 rooms.
