
Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced that Christopher K. Ivy joined the company as executive vice president, development and acquisitions. In his new position, he will focus on sourcing business development projects within the select-service sector.
Ivy joins Interstate from Hyatt Hotels Corporation where he most recently was senior vice president, real estate and development, where he oversaw a department that was responsible for the development of Hyatt-branded hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. During his seven-year tenure, he also launched the Hyatt select-service platform outside the United States. Prior to joining Hyatt, Ivy served as vice president, lodging development for Marriott International, where he led the expansion of Marriott brands in the western U.S. and Hawaii. His brand experience started at Westin Hotels and Resorts. Earlier in his career, Ivy managed property acquisitions for American General Hospitality Corporation.He joins a team that includes Edward J.
