
According to Philippe de l'Espinay, Vice President Operations Europe for the Ascott Group, the Citadines brand wishes to bring a "warm and convivial" flair to its residences for guests to feel more at home. In light of this new goal, the Ascott Group has invested 120 million euro to update its European Citadines establishments. These renovations should further differentiate between Citadines Suites, Citadines Prestige and Citadines Apart'hotels.The establishments in question are in France, Belgium, Germany, England, and Spain. Renovation projects to be completed by the end of the year include: Citadines Montparnasse Paris, Citadines Prestige Les Halles Paris, Citadines La Défense Paris, Citadines Suites Louvre Paris, Citadines Croisette Cannes, Citadines Part-Dieu Lyon, Citadines City Centre Grenoble, Citadines Sainte-Catherine Brussels, Citadines Prestige South Kensington London, Citadines Prestige Holborn-Covent Garden London, Citadines Prestige Trafalgar Square London et Citadines Kurfürstendamm Berlin.2014 will see a further 12 establishments renovated, primarily in France, including: Citadines Prestige Opéra Paris, Citadines Place d'Italie Paris, Citadines Tour Eiffel Paris, Citadines Montmartre Paris, Citadines Presqu'île Lyon, Citadines Prado Chanot Marseille, Citadines Castellane Marseille, Citadines Promenade Nice, Citadines City Centre Lille, Citadines Wilson Toulouse, Citadines Toison d'Or Brussels and Citadines Ramblas Barcelona (which will come under the Prestige flag).
