acquisition ECG par PAI Partners

European Camping Group has just been acquired by the PAI Partners group, which says it is ready to help the company develop its full potential in the years to come.

Private equity firm PAI Partners recently announced that it has acquired the European Camping Group (ECG), a key player in the European outdoor hospitality sector.

The company, based in Aix-en-Provence, manages a fleet of over 22,000 units, the majority of which are mobile homes, in more than 310 premium campsites across Europe. This includes top tourist destinations such as France, Spain, Italy and Croatia, which has become increasingly popular in recent years.

In order to ensure sufficient commercial coverage in the main European markets, ECG relies on four internationally renowned brands, all of which are complementary: Homair, Eurocamp, Al Fresco and Roan. The acquisition and integration of these brands has enabled the company to strengthen its presence in these key markets.

It has also acquired a number of independent campsites to increase its portfolio of destinations and thus satisfy a larger customer base that is always looking for new places to stay. ECG is also behind 'CampingVision', the first online booking platform for campsites in Europe, which has been welcomed as a real innovation in the industry.

ECG is constantly looking for new acquisitions and mergers to carry out in order to further develop and improve its offering and the support provided by PAI Partners will serve as a solid foundation for the future growth of the group. The development and work of ECG's management team over the past ten years has impressed PAI, who are delighted to support the company's strategies and actions to strengthen its leadership in the European outdoor accommodation sector.

PAI, which currently manages more than €17 billion in buyout funds, already has experience in the outdoor accommodation sector through its previous investment in Roompot, a leading Benelux holiday park operator. With its unique perspective, long-term vision and sector experience, the group helps companies to realise their full potential and even exceed it.
