The All Saints' Day holidays, which ran from 21 October to 6 November, encouraged many French people to organise holidays in France. International visitors were also keen to discover France in the run-up to the festive season. These are all opportunities that have enabled hoteliers as a whole to record good performances, although urban areas are outperforming rural areas. In contrast to the previous month, hoteliers in the north and east of France are doing particularly well, while hotels in the south are less buoyant.
While the national occupancy rate stands at 62.7%, a fine performance for all hoteliers, it remains below the levels of previous years. In fact, this rate is -0.2 points lower than in 2022 and -3.2 points lower than in 2019.
However, France posted a RevPAR of €68.9, up 4.7% on 2022 and 13% on 2019. This performance was made possible by an increase in the average daily rate (+18.8% vs 2019) in a context of rising inflation.

The rise in average daily rates, +4.2% for the low-cost and +4% for the budget compared to 2022, nevertheless enables RevPARs to be higher than in previous years (33.6 euros and 53.2 euros).
For the country as a whole, only the Regions are below their 2019 occupancy levels (-0.7 pts), while Paris exceeds them by +1.6 points. However, thanks to a 5.3% increase in the average daily rate compared to 2019, the highest increase of all zones combined, the Regions will post a RevPAR of 50.1 euros, up 4% compared to 2022 and 11.2% compared to 2019.
The southern regions are among those with the lowest occupancy rates, such as Corsica (43%), Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur (52.9%) and...
