November 2023: Europe's hospitality industry is not afraid of the cold

November, bringing with it the first cold spells of the second half of the year, puts the spotlight on the countries of Northern and Eastern Europe. While Southern Europe posted the best hotel performances in October, the trend seems to be starting to reverse in November. The United Kingdom stands out strongly, as do Austria and the Netherlands. The first signs of the end-of-year festivities are benefiting these destinations, which are world-famous for their decoration and atmosphere, while the warmer countries are continuing to attract sun-seeking tourists.

The European hospitality industry turned in a fine performance in November, with an occupancy rate of 67.8%, an increase of 1.9 points compared to 2022. This increase is due in particular to the return in numbers of Asian tourists after a prolonged absence. Although the country is still 4 points...
