October: record-breaking figures in sight for the french hotel industry

On twelve sliding months, the French hotel industry’s revPAR grew by 8.9%, brought on by a combined increase in the average rate (+6.3%) that is clearly not dissuading guests as the occupancy rate is up by 1.6 point. The 4* segment leads the trend (+11.5% for the RevPAR with an average rate close to 200 euros), followed closely by the midscale sector (+9.1%). Indicators are on the rise for each hotel category, which is why optimism about the global results for 2007 seems to be realistic for the end for the year, especially since the remaining weeks will be packed with events with good potential for occupancy.

The French hotel industry had a hands-down successful World Cup. The month of October showed double-digit growth in room revenue with an increase of 13.6%.
