With an increase in revPAR of 5.8%, April shows a slow down in the French hotel industry’s activity. Nevertheless, for the last 12 sliding month, growth reaches 8.2%. Occupancy stagnates (-0.6%) for the second consecutive month, the drop is counterbalanced hopefully by average rate positive figures (+6.7%). March followed the same pattern compared to January and February’s excellent results. Revenue as per room went up to 4.0%. The second trimester started at a relatively slow pace and follows last year trend, hindered by holidays and the president election proximity.
