Known for its resorts in South East Asia, the group Six Senses is no longer hesitant about shifting away from its origins with a first opening in the Sultanate of Oman. More intimate than the Six Senses Latitude and less exclusive than the Soneva Resorts by Six Senses, the new property is emblematic of the brand Six Senses Hideaway – the new denomination of Evason Hideaway: design and personalized. Six Senses Hideaway Singhy Bay admits to its goal to become the most luxurious resort in the Middle East. And also the most secluded: the hotel may be reached by boat, a drive down the hill in an SUV or paragliding! In this small fishermen’s village on the northern side of the Peninsula of Musandan, the property stretches along a 1.6 km strip of sand. Stone and wood décor allow the 82 villas to fully integrate the mountain landscape. Each villa has a swimming pool and ensures well-deserved rest with absolute privacy. To reinforce privacy, each villa has its own majordomo who may arrange for dinner in the room, on the beach or atop the mountains overlooking Singhy Bay. The L.I.F.E department (Leisure, Innovative, Fun & Experience) organizes distractions in the form of sports or cultural activities for full and fulfilling vacations. The property’s mainstay: its Six Senses signature spa with 9 treatment rooms and 2 hammams. The project, financed by Al Marsa Travel & Tourism-Oman, cost nearly 27 million dollars. It should benefit from the development of tourism in this emirate as well as its proximity to Dubai, just a one and a half hour drive away.
