Sir Rocco’s dedication in the name of the Father

What better way for Sir Rocco Forte to honor his father Lord Charles Forte, than the open Charles Hotel. Opened on October 4 for a total cost of 75 million euros, the brand’s third German property joined the Hotel de Rome in Berlin (opened in October 2006) and the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt (March 2006). This should affirm the Forte collection’s status as a major luxury player in the country. Designed to appeal to both business and leisure clientele in the upscale segment, the hotel and an entirely new building with 132 rooms and 18 suites are signed by the chain’s official designer Olga Polizzi. While it is out of the question to reproduce the same schemas, the main principle is respected: each hotel has a unique personality and the Charles Hotel is no exception to the rule with works in porcelain and ceramic in the bathroom, 19th-century frescoes in the rooms... not to mention a spa/sauna, an Italian restaurant with a panoramic view over the neighboring botanic garden and seven hi-tech conference rooms.
