Marriott International is set to open a Sheraton Grand Hotel in a key strategic location, Lahore in Pakistan.

Marriott International has announced the scheduled opening of a Sheraton Grand Hotel in Lahore, following an agreement with Imperium Hospitality. Due to open in 2021, it will be the company's first hotel in the capital of the Pakistani province Punjab. Located close to one of the country's largest and busiest airports, this destination is of key strategic importance.

The Sheraton Grand Lahore will feature 168 rooms, meeting facilities, ballroom, restaurant and a range of other food and beverage outlets. There will also be a fitness centre, swimming pool and spa.

As of January 1, 2017, Marriott International was the biggest global hotel and accommodation group, consisting of 5,997 properties, totalling 1,169,902 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
