A second Waldorf Astoria to open soon in Dubai

A new Waldorf Astoria will open in the fall of 2017 in the Dubai's financial district Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The luxury brand of Hilton Worldwide group continues to grow its presence in the Middle East, with the forthcoming opening of this new unit in the center of Dubai's financial district, further to the signature of a management contract with Ward Holdings. The hotel will have 247 rooms, a reception room, a choice of gastronomic restaurants, four seminar rooms, and a spa.

At the announcement of this opening, Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development, Middle East and North Africa for Hilton Worldwide, said: "Sound fundamentals underpin our luxury story in the Middle East, where we have seen exceptional growth in locations tailored for both leisure and business travellers. I have long admired the role DIFC plays in the world of international investment, benefitting from its east meets west location and world-class trading framework. As an iconic luxury brand originating from New York, another centre of global finance, I am delighted that we will welcome Waldorf Astoria to this international hub."

As of January 1, 2016, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has a portfolio of 25 properties worldwide. A member of the Hilton worldwide group, ranked second hotel group worldwide, with 751,350 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
