
Formerly operated under the St. Regis brand, this historic property converted from a monastery in the Venetian Lagoon is now welcoming guests as the San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice.
Kempinski's latest address is located on San Clemente Island, between the Lido and the Giudecca island in the Venetian Lagoon. This 17-acre oasis boasts private docks, historic monastery buildings, a church dating back to the 12th century, as well as parks and gardens. The hotel is easily accessible from the center of Venice, a 10-minute trip by luxury speedboat from Piazza San Marco.
With 74 hotels representing a global capacity of 20,626 rooms as of January 2016, Kempinski ranks among the Top 50 hotel operators worldwide in terms of number of rooms. The San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice is the brand's first address in Italy. According to data published by MKG Consulting, the group's European portfolio comprises 32 hotels for a totaling of 5,581 keys across the continent.
