Radisson Hotel Group announces the extension of its partnership with SGS, a inspection, verification, testing and certification company for quality and integrity, in the continued global rollout of the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol.

In 2020, Radisson Hotel Group worked with SGS to conduct a thorough review of all existing health and safety processes and worked with a team of experts to develop and validate the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol, a series of 20-step and 10-step protocols for hotels and for Meetings & Events. These protocols, which include comprehensive health and safety procedures such as enhanced cleaning and sanitation, especially in high-contact areas, sanitation stations, personal protective equipment (PPE) for team members physical distancing measures and hybrid solutions for meetings, improved air circulation and strict food safety procedures, have all been validated by SGS, based on local requirements and recommendations to ensure guest safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out. In addition, Radisson Hotel Group has adapted the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol specifically for resorts, with particular attention to services such as sports, spa facilities and kids' clubs.

Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol is an official label for cleanliness and disinfection that can only be used by hotels after a validation process conducted by SGS. In addition, selected hotels receive the additional SGS Disinfection Monitored & Cleaning Checked label after a local audit including on-site testing using the latest technology.

Federico J. González, CEO of the Radisson Hotel Group says:

At Radisson Hotel Group, the health and safety of our guests, team members and partners remain a top priority. The world has been fundamentally changed by COVID-19, so it is essential that we continue to innovate and strive to provide a clean and safe environment for all those who walk through our doors, stay in our hotels, and hold meetings at our properties. SGS has been a key partner in ensuring that our hotels offer the best and latest in health and safety measures, and we are proud to renew our partnership for a second year.

Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS, adds:

The goal of our ongoing partnership is to ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are met and to protect guests as well as Radisson Hotel Group team members and partners.

As part of the group's ongoing commitment to a safe return for tourists and to enable a quick return to business, Radisson Hotel Group recently launched its new testing program at properties in its EMEA portfolio. Hotels will be able to direct guests to an accessible and affordable PCR testing location.
