Represented by Christophe Laure, area general manager Paris for the group, IHG received the Best Initiative in Social Responsability-Corporate Concept award at the 15th ceremony of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards.

Award for the Best Initiative in Social Responsibility - Corporate Concept was presented to the InterContinental Hotel Group, represented by Christophe Laure, area general manager Paris at IHG, by Ilham Kadri, vice president & officer at Sealed Air.





The group was rewarded for its initiative The Future of Local. This is a program of discussions, launched in collaboration with the explorer Daniel Raven-Ellison of National Geographic, to explore the notion of “Future of Local”, or how interactions between people and international brands are changing the world. On January 1, 2014, InterContinental Hotels Group was the number-one hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms according to the ranking realized each year by MKG Hospitality, hospitality consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis.
