The promotion of accessible and inclusive travel to European destinations has been strengthened through a new partnership between the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (the Alliance) and Sage Inclusion.
The Alliance announces a partnership with Sage Inclusion, a company that provides accessibility certifications and training for organizations, in promoting accessible and inclusive travel to global destinations. This includes helping to improve facilities, customer service and information available to travelers.
The Alliance is a global network for the hospitality industry and brings together partners such as Sage Inclusion to address key challenges affecting the planet and its people, local destinations and communities. Improving inclusiveness within the industry is one component of the Alliance's Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality program, which sets goals to create a thriving and responsible global hospitality sector that gives back to the destination more than it takes. For example, the program framework outlines how organizations can measure, minimize and integrate diversity and inclusion into their value chain, with the goal of going beyond and advocating for inclusion beyond the value chain.
The partnership will include collaborations and projects on promoting inclusive travel as well as creating innovative metrics and risk tools to better support and deliver services across the hospitality industry.
"At Sage Inclusion, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. Our mission has always been to make travel easier for people with disabilities. By partnering with the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, we are able to continue that mission and help make the travel industry more inclusive for people of all abilities. With our Sage Inclusion system, hotel organizations can get the accessibility assessments, training, certification, marketing and consulting they need to succeed in the large and growing accessible travel industry. "
John Sage, Executive Director of Sage Inclusion
"Our partnership with Sage Inclusion has helped strengthen our network when it comes to addressing and implementing the human side of our Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality program. This announcement is an important step in promoting inclusion and diversity for guests and employees in the hospitality industry. "
