Hospitality Operator Forum

The question of operating in a sustainable manner no longer arises. However, there is no shortage of ways to develop and operate a virtuous product. The hospitality sector in Europe is one of the most environmentally friendly, with surfaces, construction methods and operating methods that go a long way towards achieving energy sobriety. So how can we do better, how can we achieve a positive impact? Inge Huijbrechts, Global SVP Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications at Radisson Hotel Group and Gaspard de Moustier, co-founder of Coucoo Cabanes will share their journey through ESG issues at the Hospitality Operator Forum.

Another positive impact of the Covid 19 crisis is that taking care of the planet and its inhabitants is now a key issue. Because being a responsible player goes beyond the elimination of single-use plastic, which is already a big step for the planet. Because responsible design and operation means making cost savings and building staff loyalty. It is essential to adopt this approach or risk seeing your clientele erode in the years to come. But how do you go about it? What actions should be prioritised? What budgets should be set aside and what aid is potentially available?

Environmental, Social and Governance three pillars that cover the entire activity of a company. Taking into account its location, its development, its operation, its growth ... so many subjects to be addressed and that some have already explored a lot.

Gaspard de Moustier develops accommodation in the heart of nature with a central approach for his company: to have a positive impact on the destinations where he sets up. How does he and the experts around him prepare for the arrival of a new wilderness site? What partnerships does he develop and why? How does it mobilise innovation to be ever more virtuous?

Inge Huijbrechts is in charge of CSR issues in a group that operates more than 40,000 rooms worldwide. How can we be effective, impactful and pragmatic on these issues on such a scale? What are the concrete actions for what results?

Join us at the Hospitality Operator Forum for a discussion of two models which, each on their own scale, are working towards a more virtuous sector.
