Choice Hotels International announced it will match Choice Privileges member donations to the Red Cross, encouraging its loyalty members to join the company’s efforts in supporting COVID-19 relief efforts in India and around the world. Members will be able to donate loyalty points that convert to cash, a portion of which will be matched by Choice Hotels.
The global Red Cross and Red Crescent network is supporting the immediate needs of individuals, families and communities around the world, coordinating with governments, the World Health Organization (WHO), national public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other public health organizations to help keep people safe from COVID-19 while also providing relief to people facing the secondary impacts of the virus. Each Red Cross and Red Crescent response is tailored based on the needs of each country and the phase of the outbreak. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from the virus.
Choice Hotels is a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program, making a year-round financial commitment to ensure the Red Cross is prepared to help meet the needs of people affected by disasters big and small, anytime and anywhere across the U.S.
