The aviation sector has been heavily criticised in recent years for its impact on the environment and its contribution to global warming. It contributes to almost 6% of global warming, i.e. more than digital technology, and air travel alone accounts for 2.4% of global CO2 emissions. This figure rises to 5.3% in France, reflecting the scale of the problem.
